Woman and Nature: The Story of 200,000 Years of Femininity

The association of femininity with Nature is as old as mankind. Prehistoric art suggests that people of distant tribes had all been fascinated by the analogy between the fertility of woman and the fertility of the land. Neolithic sculptures depicting goddesses and other female figures represent this unique relationship.

People also observed an uncanny parallel between woman’s menstrual cycle and the Moon cycle – both of which last 28 days. Scientists are still debating to this day whether this parallel is a coincidence or not. So, can you imagine just how unbearably mysterious this must have felt two hundred thousand years ago?

Woman’s cycle is reminiscent of all Nature’s cycles, like the alternation of day and night, and the seasons. Man has no similar inbuilt calculator.
